Building a Website

Building a New Website Fast is Fun – Building Smart is Better!

It is within the planning and concept of a new website, that we begin thinking about what your customers are looking for.  Know your customer, search and define their needs, and you will in turn define your marketing plan.  Converting your perspective clients into purchasing customers begins with this simple concept.  Are you providing a service, product or an informational web site?   How will your perspective client interact once they’ve arrived at your website?  All these factors have to be considered when creating a web site for the first time, fast is good, smart is better.  It’s very important to realize that search engine optimization happens before, during, and after the building process.  Building a web site within a few minutes can definitely be done, but with a little planning, you can expect a much larger return on your invested time.

And so begins the blog…  “Building a website, fast but smart”

We decided to put together a blog focusing on smart planning, fast building and easy 10 minute daily updates to your website and Social Media.  We’ll create a fictitious website with the initial concept, research the target market, build our concept around our findings, and begin designing the web site.  After the website has been designed, we will walk you through the basics of marketing our fictitious website to all our potential clients and submit the site to Google, Bing Yahoo and others.  In addition, we will engage our potential customers through Social media such as Face book, Twitter, Pinterest, Blogging and other social networking avenues.

It’s all in the time

Granted, if your site is strictly an informational website, you may quickly build the contents of that site based on your brochure or printed media.  Although this can be done, keep in mind that it’s the time that you put into your careful consideration of the customer’s needs and searches that can make all the difference in getting found.  Always keep in mind that what your customer is looking for, is where you focus your marketing.

Take the time with these simple steps…

To help define your business model, find your niche.  Find the opportunities hidden and untapped within your industry.  As with our example website, you’ll notice that we’re focusing on Arabica coffee beans, custom branded with private label solutions for Coffee shops world wide.  Within our example, we could have easily chosen just coffee beans, unfortunately, choosing just coffee beans would make it very difficult to be found among the abundance of coffee suppliers available online. Searches with just the phrase coffee beans would be much harder to achieve for any prominent rankings.  This would offer us the opportunity of selecting a more targeted marketing campaign, and now all of our web site will be focused around that fact.  Understand, this is just an example, you and only you can define who and whom fits your marketing campaign, once you have a clear definition of that, it’s very easy to be able to translate that on a web site, blog or Facebook.

Web site structure

An effective web site that engages a customer immediately will keep eyes on the page for a longer period of time, reducing bounce rates [people leaving the site], and will enhance conversions.  The whole idea of putting this website together is to attract customers that will convert.  The structure of the web site along with the ease of navigation, will help to define the customer experience.  As your customer gets to your website for the first time, you want each visitor to be able to understand clearly what the web site is about, without having to read long paragraphs of content. It’s important to make sure that the customer can navigate the web site consistently from page to page knowing exactly what to expect.  Whatever is done on the homepage for your navigation and contact information, should be continued throughout the entire web site.  Consistency sells, the customer will know exactly what to do from page to page.  Building the site map structure allows you to define the path throughout your website with clear understandable instructions, and a single call to action on every individual page.  It is our strong opinion that solid navigation, ease of use, clean compelling content and contact information on every page, will result in a solid success, not only from the customer prospective, but by the great Google itself.
